Would i look completely weird wearing a ball gown esque type of wedding dress to my Hawaii evening wedding?

1. No!! It's your wedding, sweetie... Make it YOURS... If you fall in love with the ballroom gown... Who cares?? It will be beautiful!!
2. It sounds like you will be hot and uncomfortable in a big ball gown.
3. If you are going to be on the beach...I think you will end up being sweaty and uncomfortable. If the dress has a train, you may have some movement issues as well. But if you will be indoors, then I suppose it will be fine. Usually, when one thinks of a Hawaiian wedding, you would think of a light and flowy dress, not a ball gown.
4. Wear what you want but won't you be a tad warm in something so big?
5. If that is your style, I don't think it will be "weird". Because it's in Hawaii, you should be more aware of the fabric so you don't get overheated.
6. No it will look absolutely breathtaking. They do have a/c there so don't worry about anything.
7. I associate that type of gown with a cathedral wedding, I feel anything less ornate than a cathedral wouldn't do the gown justice. A question to ask yourself though, ' in twenty years time when you look back at your wedding will you think the gown was hideous?' from the wording of the question it sounds like your having second thoughts about the gown already, I suggest you try on other gowns available to see if you can find something you like better. Or you could go to a Polynesian tailor or seamstress and get them to design something that both looks good on you and suits the setting- they are surprisingly affordable can do some amazing work and I actually consulted one on the practicalities of a beach wedding before deciding on my current venue.
