how much does a wedding in hawaii cost? How much would a destination wedding cost with a total of 10 people, that's including us two. Very simple, but pictures are very important and I'm thinking about having a videographer too. Another quick question, if someone gets married in hawaii but lives in arizona how does the license work? Is it still legal in AZ?
How does a destination wedding in Hawaii work? My fiance and myself are thinking about getting married in Hawaii, but we're confused on how it would work. Would we pay for the plane ticket and hotel? or would the guests pay for it? It would be a small wedding with a small reception afterwards, i know we would take care of the food and drinks but the rest i am not sure of. Has anyone had a destination wedding or know about them? Any help would be great. Thanks!!

Did anyone have a private beach wedding in Hawaii or Caribbean countries? Any advice? I would like to have a wedding on a private beach area in Hawaii or countries in Caribbean. I know that there are some luxury villas in Caribbean do have a private beach area but there is usually a 5-7 days accomodation required. It's kind of expensive for me to stay in a villa for that long. My budget is about $3000-$5000 for a simple wedding ceremony and some photographs. Any suggestion for the locations or planning companies?
Is it difficult to coordinate a wedding in hawaii without hiring a wedding plannner? My finance and I are planning on our wedding in Oahu next fall and contacting a wedding planner now. But almost 40% of the estimate are service related fees (i.e. delivery, catering staff, tips, cleaning, on-site coordination fees, 20% services charge, etc). Our budget is $15,000 and we our inviting 30 guests. We just want to have a simple casual wedding at a beach house. Should we go ahead with the planner or should we consider planning ourselves?
Looking for a cheap sun/wedding dress for hawaii wedding? I am looking to spend under 100$ on a long white dress that will flatter my 40ddd chest. Has anyone held a small wedding (around 20 people) in Hawaii? Any advice on island & company/coordinators? My fiancee & I are looking to hold a small, family only wedding ceremony on a Hawaiian island. Ideally, not a sand beach location, but perhaps grass overlooking the ocean. There are so many choices and websites, just wondering if anyone has had personal experience (either attending or hosting) with a small wedding ceremony in Hawaii. I'd love to hear of any success or horror stories to help us in our planning phase. We're looking at late June 2008 - early August 2008 to have the ceremony. Thanks!
Were to stay in Hawaii (wedding)? which island, which resort? We have finally settled on a destination of Hawaii to get married next year. Just wondering if anyone had any favorite places to stay (affordable) or any personal experiences in Hawaii. We are thinking about two weeks, first week with the wedding on one island and then switching to another island for the second week. Probably about 30-40 people attending. Any thoughts? thanks in advance...

Question about Oahu Hawaii Wedding? Okay so i only want people opinions about what i am doing. I am having the wedding in Hawaii Oahu just the ceremony on the beach then when i get back because i am catholic we are having the church bless the wedding then having a desert party at an open space. I am not feeding anyone just providing snacks and desert. By doing it this way i am saving 5,000 dollars because i live in So Cal and everything is so expensive. Please tell me what you think.
Should We fly our parents and daughter to hawaii for our wedding? We are thinking about basically eloping in hawaii while on an all expense paid vacation with my fiances company.. The only thing is i am not sure if i want to get married w/o my family there. Even though i plan on having a church wedding later anyways. It would cost us 5,000 dollars this includes round trip flight and hotel for the days we are there for 4 adults and one child to come. We are not paying for anything so would it be crazy for us to try to pay 5,000 dollars for our family just parents and daughter to be there???? I am torn.. Jeff kinda just wants it to be us. I really feel like i would want my family there.. What should i do?? My daughter is only 2 and by then 2 and a half so she would not remember. + she would be flower girl in our traditional church wedding... There are alot of reasons why we want to elope. 1 being we don't have the money fora church wedding at least for the next two years unless we get a loan... 2. We have a lot of reasons like having a child that would make us being legally m arried so much easier. Health insurance, car insurance and all those things are so much easier to do.... That would be the reason to elope so we have all those benefits sooner.. We have been together for so long 8 years that its like we should have done this so much sooner.. My daughter is not allowed to go. Its not supposed to be a vacation it is more of a business trip that i am invited to go to.. We asked if kiera my daughter could go and they said no. I have never went anywhere withough her in two years!!!! I am kinda looking forward to me and jeff having some alone time and i dont think thats so terrible is it:?

Hawaii Wedding Locations? I'm looking to get married in Hawaii or one of the Island around Hawaii. I've never been there and having problems finding a location - mainly because there is so much choice. I don't want to get married on a beach (I don't want to get sandy whilst in my wedding dress) I'm edging more towards a resort wedding. Does anyone know any 'different' and more unique resorts apart from the obvious and commercial ones like the Grand Wailea? Thanks guys!

Hawaii wedding and reception help!? First off, thanks for your help! My mom and me are doing a double wedding on August 6th, 2010 in Hawaii. We were considering Maui, but having never been to Hawaii, we are clueless! We actually live in Louisiana and there are a few couples that will be traveling with us. wedding in hawaii... you done it? Your Question wedding in Hawaii.....did you have one? my fiance and i are thinking about having our wedding in hawaii. we NEED our parents and siblings to come or else we wouldn't consider it! my family has agreed and we are going to ask his family. we were thinking of having a wedding in our hometown for about 100 people but now because we might not get the good deal it will be about 3-4 times as much as we were going to pay. hawaii would be a lot cheaper for us, (not for the family but that's why we were asking if they don't mind before making plans) and it would make wonderful memories of a hawaii wedding and being there with our family. QUESTION: has anyone else had a hawaii wedding? did you regret not being able to have a big wedding with everyone and a reception with a first dace and everything, or did you have that? where was it at? tell me about it!!! thanks!!

I need to plan a hawaii wedding.? I want to plan a destination wedding in hawaii, anyone has any ideas? My ideal plan would be to make it small, no more than 10 people and i would like to take care of their lodging - so it would have to be as cost effective as possible ( i would have them take care of their own air fare) I've found some place that do the wedding for free but it's pretty expensive. If you have any suggestions on resorts, hawaii island and how to do this as cheap as possible, i'd be greatful - thanks.
Any tips/suggestions for a wedding in Hawaii? My fiancee and I plan on getting married in Hawaii. Anyone ever had a wedding on one of the islands there? We don't want to spend too much on a fancy resort, maybe a small wedding outdoors and an outdoor reception with buffet style meal. Thanks for your help!
Planning my 15th Wedding Anniversary in Hawaii; any suggestions? Hello and thanks for taking some time to read my question. My anniversary is still one year away, but I would like to make plans for the trip. What places should we visit there? Is it a good idea to book the same hotel for the whole week. Any tips will help a lot. Thanks again
Am I selfish or bad mom by not taking my baby (will be 18 months) to our Hawaii wedding? I am so torn about this ... my fiance (also father of our 8 month old baby) and I are going to be married in Hawaii in October. Thing is, I'm a stay-at-home mom, and my baby is so used to being with me 24/7. I'm afraid when we leave him home with my mom (who he sees about once a month for a few days at a time), he'll be sad and devastated when we leave for 7-10 days. I want to be able to enjoy the wedding & honeymoon, and maybe I'm overestimating how I'll feel when he's a little older and into playing with others, etc. I don't know. I know people go on vacations without their baby sometimes, but I guess I'm just a big softie. I thought of taking him and my mom with us, but I know if we bring him and my mom, I'll never be able to relax because I'll always be wondering what he's doing and want to be wherever he is. I'm not sure what to do ... BTW: Please don't answer if all you're going to tell me is we shouldn't have had a baby before getting married -- I'm not from that "school of thought", so it's just wasted words. Thanks to everyone else! It's a long story why I don't care one way or another if my mom goes ... for 1. She's the only one I trust to watch my son for that long, and 2. she would probably rather stay home and watch him than go ... she's just different than most moms. Abandoning him? Are you serious? I spend all day every day with him, and I'd be leaving him with his GRANDMA, not a complete stranger. This is a once in a lifetime situation -- getting married. I'm not going to a crack house and leaving my son home alone -- that's abandonment. Wow -- people really know how to be mean on this site.
catholic wedding in hawaii? my fiancee and I are planning a catholic wedding in hawaii on 2008. any ideas of catholic churches with a great view of the shore? thanks.
